Hello!
I have been using a trial of this software and I am loving it so far. I am thinking of buying it when I see how the final DVD comes out. The problem is that when I went to burn the DVD, I learned that my disc drive on my computer is broken. I tried to save the video to my flash drive and I downloaded the software to my husband's computer but I am unable to open the project on his computer. Is there anything I can do to save the video I spend so long making? I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!

Hi, I assume you mean your DVD burner drive is broken.
So what you are saying is you have created a large PhotoVidShow project on one computer, but unable to burn it to a DVD because it is broken, so need to transfer everything to another computer and burn from there?
If so you have 3 options;-
1) You need to install PhotoVidShow on the other computer and copy the project file (.pds2). But also you need to copy across all the original source material (i.e. photos and video). Then when you load the project on the second computer it will ask you to do a re-link. If you follow the instructions and re-link the photos and video it will work.
2) Another idea, is to create an DVD image on the original computer, then copy the DVD image onto the second computer and burn from there:- On computer 1: -Start PhotoVidShow -load you project -select ‘create and burn’ as usual. -select 2nd option ‘Encode only the current project’ -continue the steps (‘next’ ‘next’ then ‘create’) and create the DVD image on your hard-dive. -from here copy the contents of My Documents/PhotoVidShow/Authored/’your project’ onto the second computer storing it at the same location. On computer 2: -Start PhotoVidShow -Select ‘Create and burn’ -Select 3rd option ‘Burn a previously encoded project’ -Select your project and burn.
3) A third option is to make a .mp4 movie out of your project. Select your output type as ‘Video file for computer or web’ from top of PhotoVidShow screen. From here either view you movie slideshow on TV via a USB stick. Or copy the output .mp4 movie file to the second computer, import this movie into PhotoVidShow and burn from there.
Wow lots to learn, hope something here of help, let us know if stuck and how you get on.
