Hi, in order to play DVDs on your laptop you will need software that is able to playback normal DVDs. By default Windows 10 does not come with this software. If you don't have software, we recommend VideoLAN VLC which is free see here www.videolan.org/vlc/index.en-GB.htmlI do not know why it is not playing in your stand-alone player. In general the DVDs PhotoVidShow produce are very compatible. It maybe the case that your DVD player does not like the type of blank media you are using. If still having problems, a good test to do is to playback (on your PC) the DVD image PhotoVidShow created on your hard-drive before burning your DVD. The folder (or image) will still be stored on your PC in 'Documents/PhotoVidShow/Authored/"Project name"/VIDEO_TS' In the VLC software, from the top tools bar menu, select 'Media' -> 'Open Folder'. Then select the 'VIDEO_TS' folder as described above. Does this playback your slideshow? Also you may want to consider alternatives to DVD like PhotoVidShow's 'Video File' output. You can still watch on TV. This can be done by copying the created .mp4 video file to a USB media stick and then inserting this stick into your TV's media slot. The advantage to this is that you can create full HD videos which look much better than traditional DVDs as this will be in a higher resolution. Hope this of help. Let us know how you get on. Stuart
